Perdeby experience: babysitting someone else’s pet

CARLY TWADDLE

Every week Perdeby sends their journalists to experience something out of their comfort zones. This week Carly Twaddle babysat her friend’s pet hamster.

Taking care of someone else’s pet can be quite daunting, especially when the first thing they tell you is, “Heads-up: he’ll probably get cancer while he’s with you”. A fun night out with fellow students can quickly turn into a disaster if one of your friends has had one too many to drink and picks a fight with a bouncer or a street sign. Perdeby is here to help you decide when to help someone into bed and when to take them to hospital.

Perdeby takes on the Beast

EMMANUEL OLUSEGUN

Every week Perdeby sends their journalists to experience something out of their comfort zones. This week is a little different. This week, team Perdeby tried its hand at obstacle course racing.
A group of Perdeby’s journalists got the chance to put down their laptops, cellphones, and cameras, and strap on their takkies and running gear as they took part in the tenth edition of the Beast obstacle course race. The event was held on 6 March at the Wedge 4x4 trail in Muldersdrift. Professional athletes, weekend warriors, teenagers, families and students were all present to take on the challenging course.
